When you're serious about change...

Hey Reader,

Breaking Free from Within

In my 30s, I was super reactive to situations; critical of other people and even critical of myself.

I was living in a vicious cycle of “I’ll be happy when…”

I felt a deep sense of lack - so much so I tried to fill it by setting goals with the hope of finding joy once I achieved them.

But that happiness never came.

Finally, I had enough.

I decided I needed to address the underlying root cause of this unhappiness.

So I went through a process that exposed all the deep-seated negative patterns in me.

A week-long program that left me in tears more than I had been in years.

An intensive therapy retreat where I was finally liberated.

I became more confident, more fulfilled, more purposeful, and more appreciative through life.

I no longer sought validation from others but discovered I had the answers within myself all along.

So what exactly was this special program that Katy Perry loved so much that she has since sent all her friends there?

The Hoffman Process.

Today, we’ll explore how this program can help you break free from old negative patterns, respond to life less reactively, live your true essence, and enjoy a happier life.

(For more about my personal experience with the Hoffman Process, check out my detailed reflection on my fifth rebirth anniversary from a year ago)

🧠 Understanding Patterns of Behavior

We all have patterns of behavior.

The Hoffman Process introduces the concept of Negative Love Syndrome, where we unconsciously replicate negative habits that we learn from our parents or caretakers in childhood.

Which they learned from their parents and so on. Everyone is guilty, no one is to blame.

These patterns cause you to react impulsively, instead of responding objectively to circumstances.

Recognizing these patterns logically is the first step toward changing negative demeanors.

You are able to see your thoughts and emotions as separate aspects of yourself, rather than being defined by them.

❤️ Embracing the Quadrinity Model

The Hoffman Process identifies four key aspects of our being: intellect, emotions, body, and spirit.

The intellect is where patterns reside; the shoulds, shouldn’ts, dos, don’ts, and the can’ts.

The emotional self is where negative patterns first show up developmentally along with the Intellect, where these patterns reside.

The spirit is the pure, non-programmed, non-mediated aspect of self that is positive, pure, and untouched under all our negative experiences, memories, and actions.

Then through the body, we act out and manifest the thoughts of the Intellect, the feelings of the emotional self, and embody the essence of the spiritual self.

This tells you that you are not just a thinking machine, you actually have different aspects of you.

Embracing this holistic view allows you to connect deeply with all parts of yourself.

🤗 What Would You Choose?

The Hoffman Process empowers you with a choice: the Left Road or the Right Road.

The Left Road is the path of automatic, patterned behavior; reacting unconsciously to triggers of childhood circumstances, stuck in the head, overthinking, and negative emotional reaction.

In contrast, the Right Road is one guided by spirit and intuition, while still listening to and leveraging the body, intellect, and emotions.

Right road activities can be meditation, active listening, practicing gratitude, or just playing!

This path is not about perfection in routines but about making mindful choices that lead to a more fulfilling life.

🧲 What Road are You on?

Are you ready to break free from old patterns and live a more intuitive, fulfilled life?

Reflect on your current path: are you on the Left Road or the Right Road?

Take an intentional step today to start living more consciously by listening to all aspects of yourself: body, intellect, emotional and spiritual self.

With appreciation,

Huw
